il campo dell'arte si distingue attualmente per la complessità delle tensioni che l'animano, per l'eccesso di quantità, per la carenza di qualità, e per essere spesso fuori dal dibattito culturale odierno.
E' facile oggi vedere opere che sono frutto del perpetuarsi di forme o di linguaggi già esauriti e consegnati alla storia o di interpretazioni arbitrarie del concetto di arte, spesso frutto di tensioni emotive scaricate su un quadro o quant'altro, con la presunzione che ciò sia sufficiente a realizzare un opera.
E' forse per queste ragioni che il concetto di ricerca riaffiora con forza in un principio di analisi dei linguaggi, delle poetiche, delle diverse tensioni, nell'intento di chiarire meglio il proprio movente per giungere al rinnovamento del linguaggio artistico. E' questo l'intento che vede operare in unitarietà, carlo antonelli e simone zoccheddu, che firmano la loro opera con lo pseudonimo "carol dodo".
I temi variegati che di volta in volta si danno, legati alla storia dell'arte, sono adeguati, da un lato ad approfondire la percezione e lo stimolo che li anima e dall'altro ad attivare una sperimentazione, realizzata con mezzi espressivi diversi.
Difatti, giungono a realizzazioni certamente differenti, ma tutte si distinguono per il rigore formale, che termina spesso con opere di notevole formato realizzate con mezzi fotografici o con interventi a carboncino e ad inchiostro di china.
Di particolare interesse le opere "anello dell'anguilla", "appunti di viaggio" o come "spazio C1", "spazio T1", dove viene colto in prima battuta, da qualsiasi spettatore, la qualità ed il rigore formale che li distingue.

The field of art is distinguished, today, by the complexity of the tensions which animate it, for the excess of quantity, for the lack of quality, and for being often isolated from current cultural debates.
Today it is easy to find works that perpetuate forms and languages which are already exhausted and consigned to history or are arbitrary interpretations of the concept of art, often the fruit of emotional tensions downlouded upon this or that canvas, with the presumption that this is sufficient in a work of art.
It is perhaps for these reasons that the concept of research reappears with strength in a principle of analysis of languages, of poetics, of various tensions, with the intent of clarifying one's own motives and obtaining a renewal of artistic language.
This intention is singularly evident in carlo antonelli and simone zoccheddu, who sign their works with the pseudonym "carol dodo".
The various themes that they address, linked to the history of art, are adeguate, on one side, to deepen the perception and the stimulus that animates them, on the other, to set in motion an experimentation, realized with various expressive means.
Consequently, they arrive at very different realizations, but everything is distinguished by formal rigour, which results in works of notable size realized with photographic means or with the addition of charcoal or china inks.
Of particular interest are the works "eel ring", "notes on the voyage", or "spazio C1" an "spazio T1" where the quality and the formal rigour are immediately evident to any viewer.
